Mechanical Fitter

Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to join a well-established team working on critical equipment for the mining industry? We are currently seeking an experienced fitter to join our workshop-based team, specialising in the repair, service and overhaul of submersible pumps.

About the Role:

Working in a clean and safety-focused workshop environment, your core responsibilities will include:

• Stripping down, inspecting, and diagnosing faults in submersible pumps

• Repairing and reassembling pumps to manufacturer specifications

• Performing maintenance on a wide range of mechanical components

• Conducting pressure and performance testing post-repair

• Maintaining detailed job records and reports

• Working collaboratively with supervisors and fellow tradespeople to ensure fast turnaround times

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner; will also consider a skilled TA who has had exposure to pumps

• Proven experience working on submersible pumps or similar rotating equipment desirable

• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Safety-first mindset and commitment to workshop best practices

• Forklift ticket desirable

• Previous mining or heavy industry experience desirable
