Synaco by Synergie is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in mechanical maintenance, installation, and repairs who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Our client, located in Darwin, offers full-time hours on a casual basis, with the opportunity for additional overtime on a Saturday. Ideally, candidates will be available for a minimum of six weeks, with work extending through the Christmas period.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, repairs, and assembly of machinery and equipment.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Install and commission new equipment as required.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
Adhere to all workplace safety and compliance standards.
Collaborate with team members and other trades to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
Proven experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or repairs.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to workplace safety practices and standards.
A valid manual driver’s license.
Relevant certifications (e.g., confined spaces, working at heights, elevated work platform, high risk work license) are a plus.
