HR Driver Packaged Waste Driver

We are seeking a reliable and motivated HR Driver to join our team in Rokeby, TAS for a 3-month contract. The role involves loading and unloading packaged waste across various waste streams, operating vacuum trucks, and assisting with on-site paint sorting. As a key member of the team, you will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent customer service at all times.

Location: Rokeby, TAS 7018
Tenure: 3 months
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, Dayshift, 6am to 2pm (Occasional 4/5am starts)
Pay Rate: $37.66/hr + $100 LAHA

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading packaged waste across multiple waste streams.
• Operating vacuum trucks safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with paint sorting on site.
• Performing daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
• Adhering to company regulations and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• HR License
• Forklift License
• Dangerous Goods (DG) License (Client can assist the right candidate in obtaining this)
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform physical labor.
• Previous experience in the waste industry is a plus.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Vac Truck experience (Training available for the right candidate).

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Completion of client's WH&S training.
• Driver History Report (certificate must be presented to the site manager upon arrival).

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• Long sleeve top, long drill pants, high-vis top, and steel-capped boots.
