Boilermaker/Welder

Synaco Global Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boilermaker to join our team. As a Boilermaker, you’ll be responsible for repairing structures, and working with a variety of welding techniques to produce high-quality, safe, and durable products. We’re looking for a motivated professional with strong technical skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.

Our client, located in Darwin, offers 38 hours per week with the opportunity for additional overtime on a casual basis. Ideally, candidates will be available for a minimum of six weeks, with work extending through the Christmas period.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out welding duties using MMAW, FCAW, and gasless wire welding techniques on various metals.
Inspect and test completed welds to ensure structural soundness and compliance with company standards.
Maintain and repair welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Follow all company and industry safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a heavy construction, mining, or industrial setting.
Certification: Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication or the equivalent, must hold a current EWP license, High Risk Work license, Confined Space license, Manual Driver’s license, and Construction White Card.
