Boilermaker

Synaco by Synergie are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Boilermakers to join our team. As a Boilermaker, you'll be responsible for repairing steel and concrete structures, and working with a variety of welding techniques to maintain a safe, and compliant site. We're looking for motivated professionals with strong technical skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.

Our client, located in the Northern Territory, offers a lifestyle-friendly 2:1 FIFO roster on an ongoing basis for the right candidates. Chartered flights are provided from Darwin, Cairns, or Brisbane, with interstate candidates responsible for their travel to one of these departure points.  Onsite meals and accommodation are included. A site-specific pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol screening are required prior to mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out welding duties using MMAW and FCAW welding techniques on structural steel (gasless wire techniques are used).
• Follow all company and industry safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Flexibility and adaptability in this role is key to being an effective member of the team.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in a heavy construction, mining, or industrial setting. 
• Certification: Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication or the equivalent, must hold a current High Risk Work license for EWP over 11m, Working at Heights ticket, Confined Space Entry ticket, and Manual Driver's license.
• Skills: Proficiency in multiple welding techniques and familiarity with structural steel fabrication. Ability to pass FCAW and MMAW weld tests onsite (3F, 3G, 4F, 4G).
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality to produce durable, reliable welds.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to following site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions, including confined spaces, heights, and high heat.
