Code of Conduct Procedure
1.1. Policy
This procedure affirms Synaco By Synergie’s belief in responsible social and ethical behaviour from all employees. This
procedure clarifies the standards of behaviour that Synaco By Synergie expects of all employees.
The procedure applies to all employees of the Synaco By Synergie Group, including Synaco By Synergie Global Recruitment, Synaco By Synergie
Resources Pty Ltd and S&You, and at all locations. The procedure also applies to temporary workers,
contractors or consultants providing services to or on behalf of the Company or any corporate entity that
performs functions for on behalf of the Company.
Each Employee is responsible for ensuring that Synaco By Synergie’s activities, which are a part of his or her duties, are
carried out in compliance with applicable local laws and regulations and in accordance with the principles
described in the Code. Failure to comply with this Code may be subject to sanctions as per Synaco By Synergie’s
Disciplinary Procedure.
Each Employee must know, understand, and strictly adhere to the principles and rules that the Code sets
forth, and must behave with an exemplary professional ethic.
2. Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Company Director to ensure all personnel are made aware of this Code of
Conduct.
3. Principles
Our employees contribute to the success of our organisation and that of our Clients. Synaco By Synergie fully endorses
that all employees are not deprived of their basic human rights. Furthermore, our employees have an
obligation to the Business, our Clients and themselves to observe high standards of integrity and fair dealing.
Unlawful and unethical business practices undermine employee and Client trust.
4. Non-Discrimination
Synaco By Synergie strives to promote equal treatment among all Employees and to have fair employment practices. It
will not tolerate any form of discrimination on grounds of origin, morals, age, gender, political or religious
opinions, trade union membership or disability.
In terms of politics, philosophy, and religion, Synaco By Synergie claims neutrality within its organization. The beliefs and
opinions of the Employees are respected, as well as their demonstration, as long as they do not undermine
its proper functioning, its principle of neutrality and do not constitute acts of proselytism.
Regarding the respect of religious festivals, Synaco By Synergie refers to the legal framework of the various countries in
which it is established.
Any discrimination of an Employee against other Employees for any reason is forbidden.
5. Respect of privacy
Synaco By Synergie respects the legal framework regarding working hours and the right to rest. It aims to promote the
virtues of a good balance between private and professional life.
In order to respect the privacy of its Employees, Synaco By Synergie is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of
individual information about Employees, collected or held by the company. Synaco By Synergie ensures the protection of
natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, whereby
each Employee has a right to request the access, rectification, portability and erasure of personal information.
The Employee takes note that they will exercise this same right on all material or immaterial documents held
in the company and containing their personal data.
Any person holding personal data concerning other Employees must ensure that they only keep the data
which is strictly necessary to comply with the legal obligations of the company and in optimum security
conditions.
It must also be ensured that this data is only disclosed to authorised persons and only when necessary, and
that this data is protected from people outside of the Synaco By Synergie Group, except in the case of when there is a
legal obligation to disclose it.
6. Training, promotion, and equity
The development of the professional skills and the individual responsibilities of the Employees is a necessary
condition for the company’s success. The Group is highly concerned with equal opportunities and fair
treatment, based on the recognition of merit and performance.
The Group encourages the growth of its Employees, particularly through training, promotion, and internal
mobility, which enhances their employability.
The Group expects each manager to pay close attention to the professional development and fairness of their
direct Employees.
7. Protection of assets
Employees have the duty to help protect and preserve Synaco By Synergie Group’s assets against any degradation, theft
or misappropriation, and also not to misappropriate or make personal use of these assets.
Assets include not only physical assets such as buildings, installations, machinery, vehicles, equipment,
computers and information systems, supplies of all kinds, but also immaterial goods such as intellectual
property (brands, logos, slogans, …), and the expertise of the Synaco By Synergie Group.
8. Protection of the Company’s reputation
The quality of the Synaco By Synergie Group’s corporate image and the reputation of its services determine its long-term
future.
9. Confidentiality – Discretion
Employees may have access to information belonging to or relating to the Synaco By Synergie Group and which must
remain confidential in as far as their disclosure could be prejudicial to the interests of the Synaco By Synergie Group. This
information may include studies, projects, commercial and financial information, customers, the organisation,
the management of the company, its activities, its products, as well as any elements likely to be intellectual
property and expertise.
It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the confidentiality of this information by preventing themselves from:
– direct or indirect transmission of such information outside of the Synaco By Synergie Group.
– communication to persons employed within the Synaco By Synergie Group who are not authorized to have such
information.
10. Insider information
Personal use of insider information about Synaco By Synergie Group or third parties, which is known to an Employee in
the course of or in connection with his / her duties, is not only unethical but may also constitute insider
trading reprehensible by law.
Insider information is specific information about Synaco By Synergie Group, which is not public and which could have a
significant influence on the price of related financial instruments.
11. Environment
The commitment of all Synaco By Synergie Group Employees to take into account and reduce the negative impacts of
their activity on the environment is a guarantee of sustainable development. The protection of the
environment is thus a fundamental principle, applicable at all stages of the Synaco By Synergie Group’s activities. This
commitment is supported by each Employee who contributes to this environmental approach.
12. Procedure Statement
The Code of Conduct does not replace legislation and, if any part of it conflicts, then legislation takes
precedence. This procedure is based on the following:
– Act and maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
– Be responsible and conscientious in the proper use of Company information, funds, equipment, and
facilities.
– Be considerate and respectful of the environment and others.
– Exercise fairness, equality, courtesy, consideration, and sensitivity in dealing with other employees,
clients, and candidates.
– Avoid apparent conflict of interests, promptly disclosing to a Synaco By Synergie Senior Manager, any interest
which may constitute a conflict of interest.
– Promote interests of Synaco By Synergie Group.
– Perform duties with skill, honesty, care, and diligence.
– Abide by policies, procedures and lawful directions that relate to your employment with Synaco By Synergie
and/or our Clients.
– Avoid the perception that any business transaction may be influenced by offering or accepting gifts.
– Under no circumstances may employees offer or accept money.
– Any employee, who in good faith, raises a complaint or discloses an alleged breach of the Code, while
following correct reporting procedures, will not be disadvantaged or prejudiced. All reports will be
dealt with in a timely and confidential manner.
Synaco By Synergie expects cooperation from all employees in conduction themselves in a professional, ethical, and
socially acceptable manner of the highest standards. Any employee in breach of this procedure may be subject
to disciplinary action, including termination.
Should an employee have doubts about any aspect of this Code of Conduct, they must seek clarification from
the Company Director.
