Trades Assistant

Our client is a leading maritime engineering company specializing in shipbuilding, repair, and maintenance. They have a team of professional tradesmen and state-of-the-art facilities, which allow them to deliver high-quality, innovative equipment to the marine industry.

They are now seeking a skilled Trade Assistant for their ongoing projects.

What’s on Offer:

Work with a leading engineering company
Ongoing work, Monday to Thursday
4 Day work week – Work life balance
AM available – 9.5 hour shifts
Competitive pay 39+ p/h

Responsibilities:

Assisting tradespeople by preparing materials, tools, and equipment
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
Moving equipment and supplies to different work areas
Ensuring proper storage of materials
Preparing work sites and setting up necessary equipment
Cleaning up work areas after tasks are completed
Performing basic maintenance and repair tasks under supervision

To be Successful:

Prior experience as a Trade Assistant
Chief Fire Warden / Fire Sentry tickets ESSENTIAL
Outstanding attitude and work ethic
Previous experience working on mining equipment (highly regarded)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Other High-risk tickets (Confined Space, Working at Heights)
